South Bank Sailing Club provides competitive dinghy racing in London on the Thames throughout the year. It is friendly, open to all, and is based in one of London's most countrified locations. The Club has good Enterprise and Laser fleets, and offers regular handicap and Laser racing. SBSC offers training to its members and has a number of dinghies for them to hire. If you are interested in joining please contact us to arrange a visit. SBSC members The early summer programme is on the Sailing Schedule page. The new RYA racing rules apply from 2009 to 2012. If you knew the old rules, it is time to update your knowledge. If you didn't, please make sure you learn the new rules now, especially if you want to race as a helm. How to find us
Road access to SBSC is via Barn Elms Sports Centre, not the river towpath. Please do not use the SBSC postcode to find us if you are trailing a boat, since this leaves you 200 yards from the club. Instead, follow directions to the London Wetlands Centre - postcode SW13 9SA – which is near Barnes (see the red circle on the map below). Then continue onwards along Queen Elizabeth Walk into the Barn Elms Sports Centre and follow the road across the playing fields in the direction of Craven Cottage, Fulham FC. The clubhouse is just past the rowing centre.
